長野の諏訪にある平屋を友人と共に改築・改装した。日本の賃貸物件では通常、壁に穴を開けることさえ制限されている。そんな中で、かつて教員住宅として使用されていたこの家を、時には破壊し、時には新しい素材で覆い、改変を加えていった。


Together with a friend, I renovated and refurbished a single-story house located in Suwa, Nagano. In Japan, rental agreements typically prohibit tenants from making even minor modifications like drilling holes in walls. Against this backdrop, we transformed this former teacher's residence—sometimes tearing down parts of it, and at other times, covering and enhancing it with new materials.

各部屋の役割を考慮し、見た目や手触りにこだわり床や天井の材質を選び更新した。建築士と相談し耐震性を確保しつつも空間に開放感を出すため、一部の壁を取り払う作業も行った。


Considering the function of each room, we selected and updated the materials for the floor, the ceiling and walls based on their appearance and texture. In consultation with an architect, we also removed portions of walls to enhance the sense of openness while ensuring the structure remained earthquake-resistant.


このプロジェクトでは自身で住空間に手を加え常に変化していく家に住むことで、ただの寝食を行うための空間から生活に欠かせない建築物に変わっていく様を感じられた。


In this project, by personally making modifications to the living space and residing in a constantly evolving house, I was able to experience the transformation of a space from merely a place for eating and sleeping to an indispensable architectural element of life.

Japanese House DIY

マジックミラーフィルムをディスプレイに貼り付けることで、スクリーンを表示しつつ鏡の役割も果たすスマートミラーディスプレイを作成した。

同時に室内環境を取得するシステムも開発を行い、取得したデータをダッシュボードに表示させた。

I created a smart mirror display by attaching a magic mirror film to the computer monitor, allowing it to serve both as a display and a mirror. In addition, I developed a system to monitor the indoor environment, displaying the gathered data on the smart mirror's dashboard.

ダッシュボード制御にはRaspberry Pi 3 Model B、センサーの制御にはRaspberry Pi 3 Model B+を導入した。

ダッシュボードの表示にはMagicMirror²を用い、AWS IoT Coreを介したMQTT通信をサポートするモジュールを開発した上でセンサーからのデータをリアルタイムでダッシュボードに表示した。

また、LEDストリップを使用し、ディスプレイ周辺のライティングの制御を行った。

室内環境の取得には、CO2センサー(MH-Z19)を使用し、オフィススペースの二酸化炭素濃度の測定を行った。また、ECHONET Liteを用いてスマートメーターから使用中の電力消費量の測定も行った。

CO2センサーにおいては基準値を上回るとメッセンジャーアプリに通知を送る機能を実装し、室内環境の改善に利用した。

これらのセンサーからのデータ取得プログラムやダッシュボードの起動はSystemdで自動化し、起動時の冗長性を排除し特定の個人への依存なしにシステムの運用を可能にした。

A Raspberry Pi 3 Model B was introduced for dashboard control and a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ for sensor control.


For dashboard displays, I incorporated MagicMirror² and developed a module that supports MQTT communication through AWS IoT Core. This setup enables real-time display of sensor data. I also managed the ambient lighting around the display using LED strips.

To monitor the indoor environment, I used the MH-Z19 CO2 sensor to measure carbon dioxide levels in the office space. Furthermore, I employed ECHONET Lite to measure real-time power consumption from a smart meter. Notably, the CO2 sensor played a significant role in enhancing the work environment by sending notifications to a messenger application whenever CO2 levels exceeded the set threshold.


I automated the startup processes for both sensor data retrieval and dashboard initiation using Systemd. This eliminated startup redundancy and made it possible to operate the system without depending on any particular individual.

Smart House

Sonyが販売している小型のモーションキャプチャーデバイス、mocopiから取得したデータをweb上に表示するシステムを実装をした。

本製品はOSCに対応しているため、Web ブラウザとの通信も比較的容易に行える。

しかしWebブラウザで扱えるOSC通信はWebSocketをベースにしており、ベースとなるプロトコルはUDPではなくTCPとなる。

このProjectではよりリアルタイムに近いビジュアライゼーションを目指すため、コネクション型であるTCPよりもコネクションレスなUDPを扱う方が望ましいと判断した。

そこで UDPをベースにし文字列やバイナリの通信が可能なWebRTC data channelsを利用しブラウザとやりとりするサーバーを実装した。

Rust言語で開発したこのサーバーはmocopiからデータを受け取り、そのdataをdeserializeする。その後、WebRTC data channelsを用いてそのデータをWebブラウザに送信する。

Webブラウザ側では、受け取ったデータを可視化するための実装を行った。


I developed a system to visualize data on the web from Sony's compact motion capture device, “mocopi.” This product is compatible with the OSC protocol, which makes it relatively straightforward to communicate with web browsers. However, the OSC protocol that web browsers can handle is based on WebSocket, which relies on the TCP protocol instead of UDP.

To achieve a visualization closer to real-time in this project,  I determined that it's preferable to use the connectionless UDP protocol to the connection-oriented TCP. To achieve this, I implemented a server that mediates between mocopi and web browsers using WebRTC data channels, which can transmit both strings and binary data based on UDP.

This server, written in the Rust language, receives data from mocopi and deserializes it. It then forwards the data to the web browser using WebRTC data channels.

On the web browser side, I implemented a feature to visualize the data received from the server.

友人と共に軽トラックに取り付け可能な小型のモバイルハウスを設計・制作した。

この小型の家は、軽トラックに固定する仕組みと必要に応じて軽トラックから分離する機能を有している。これにより、この小型の家が時には軽トラックに載って移動し、時には軽トラックから離れ、その土地にとどまる。

このプロジェクトでは移動と停留の両方を可能にする居住空間となることを目指した。



Together with a friend, I designed and built a compact mobile home that can be mounted onto a mini-truck. This mobile house not only can be fixed to the truck but also can be detached when required. As a result, it's versatile enough to be transported by the truck or stand alone in a specific location.

 Our goal for this project was to create a living space that would allow for both movement and stopping.

2023年9/27〜9/30の期間にMontrealで開催されたプロジェクションマッピングのフェスティバル、MAPP_MTL 2023 Festivalにて制作した1分間の映像が上映された。フェスティバルのテーマであるTRANS-FORM(E)Sを元に、”Transform”の過程で生じる抵抗や試行錯誤を粘菌のシミュレーションアルゴリズムを利用して表現した。粘菌は自らの形を変え、最適な輸送ネットワークを形成する。その自身を変形させる動きからはまさに生存のための試行錯誤の様子がうかがえる。

At the MAPP_MTL 2023 Festival, held from September 27 to 30, 2023, my 1-minute projection mapping video was shown. Drawing inspiration from the festival's theme "TRANS-FORM(E)S", my piece expresses the resistances and trial-and-error inherent in the process of transformation. I created this work using an algorithm that simulates slime mold.

Slime mold continuously morphs itself, creating optimal transport networks. From these movements, one can clearly see the essence of trial-and-error for survival.

フェスティバルのテーマを基にコンセプトを検討し、Unityを用いてその実現可能性を模索した。1分間の映像の中でパラメータを絶えず変化させ、粘菌のシミュレーションアルゴリズムを利用した多様な表現を目指した。

Starting with the festival theme, I conceptualized the video and explored its feasibility using Unity. Throughout the 1-minute duration, I continually adjusted the algorithm's parameters, aiming for a wide range of expressions.

ヴァーチャル両足院は、物理的な場所性を超えたお寺が可能にするコミュニケーションを追求することで、多元的なお寺のあり方を探るプロジェクトである。

このプロジェクトでは、京都にある両足院を、バーチャル上に構築しオンライン展示を行う場として開発を行っている。


Virtual Ryosokuin is a project that explores the multiple-dimensional purpose of the temple by pursuing communication within the temple beyond its physical location.

I am working on developing a virtual representation of Ryosokuin  in Kyoto, which will serve as a platform for online exhibitions.

デザイナーから受け取った3Dモデルに対し、CLIやBlenderを利用しWebでの表示に適した最適化やビジュアルの調整を行った。

Visualやシステムの実装にあたり、3Dモデルの調整が必要な箇所とシステム側での調整が必要な箇所を見極め、それぞれのパートを繰り返し調整しながら開発を進めた。


I optimized and adjusted 3D models prepared by the designers, making them suitable for web platforms using CLI tools and Blender. While developing the visuals and the system, I figured out whether adjustments needed to be made to the 3D models themselves or to the system. Then I advanced the development by iteratively refining each part.

Blenderを用いたLightMapのベイクやポストプロセッシングの実装によってビジュアルを向上させる最適な手段を検討し実装に落とし込んだ。

また、ローディング時に表示するAffter EffectsによるLoadingインジケーターとして、ロゴのアウトラインに沿うようなアニメーションを作成し、Webに実装した。


I explored and applied the best methods to enhance visuals by baking light maps using Blender and implementation of post-processing.

Additionally, to improve user experience, I designed a loading indicator with After Effects. This loading indicator features an animation that traces the outline of the logo, then I incorporated it into the web interface.

”Top”、”方丈”、”大書院”といった各ページにおいて、それぞれのシーンの要件に合わせてカメラの挙動の制御を行った。

また、3D Modelデータに対するパフォーマンスを考慮したテクスチャの最適化や、品質を損ねないVideoデータの解像度の模索などを行いWebで使用するための調整を行った。

このプロジェクトは継続的な展示を目指しているため、長期的な運用を視野に入れつつデータの構造化と実装を進めた。


For specific pages like 'Top,' 'Hojo,' and 'Daishoin,' I adjusted camera movements to fit the requirements of each scene.

I also optimized the textures for the 3D models considering performance and sought the optimal video resolution that maintains its quality for web use.

As this project is intended for ongoing exhibitions, I approached data structuring and implementation with a long-term perspective.

Virtual Ryosokuin

MUTEK.JPが主催するデジタルアート作品をイマーシブに体験できるETERNAL Art SpaceのWeb Siteの背景グラフィックの実装を行った。

一瞬を切り取った見栄えではなく、ずっと眺めていられるような表現となるようにnoiseの形状や動きのparameterの微細な調整を行った。

ETERNAL Art Space

京都にある両足院をscanした点群データを利用し、
禅の世界観の一端を表現した作品である「Stillness」をWeb上でも表現する試みである「Stillness Online」を作成した。

4つに切り出された点群データで構成されたシーケンスとなっており、
cameraの動きや点群のうねりを細かく制御し、Directorとともに没入できる表現を目指した。

Using point cloud data of Ryosokuin, Kennin-ji Tacchu temple, Kyoto, I developed “Stillness Online”, an attempt to express “Stillness” that represents a part of the philosophy of Zen with three-dimensional data.

This work is a sequence consisting of point cloud data cut into four pieces.

I finely controlled the camera movement  and the undulation of the point clouds, aiming for an immersive experience together with the director.

Web上で没入感のある体験を作り出すため、最適なデータフォーマットと各点群データが保有する最適な点群数を調査した。また、数百万の点群データを効率的に読み込むための方法と実現可能性を模索した。


In order to make an immersive experience on the Web, I researched the optimal data formats and the ideal number of point clouds that each point cloud data should include.

And I explored methods and possibilities for efficiently loading millions of point cloud data.

各シーンでは、各点群データが持つ特性を最大限に活用する効果的なビジュアル演出を目指した。これを実現するため、カメラワークの調整と、点群の動きや色の細かな制御を行った。


In each scene, I aimed to make the most of the characteristics inherent to each point cloud data, creating effective visual effects. To achieve this, I adjusted the camera work and carried out precise controls over the movements and colors of the point clouds.

ファイル形式として、航空レーザー測量データの保存に一般的に使用されるLAZを採用した。CloudCompareを使用して点群の量を最適化し、モバイルとPCの両方で体験可能な実装を試みた。


I adopted LAZ as the file format, which is generally used for storing aerial laser survey data.

Using CloudCompare, I optimized the volume of point cloud data and tried to implement a website that allows experiences on both mobile and PC platforms.
